Tuesday had copious amounts on fun! My friend Victoria and I went to Fort Worth to the Botanical Gardens, The Kimble art museum and downtown. Traipsing around in the 100+ degree weather with a camera in a beautiful place is fantastic!
This little tea house in the Japanese Gardens always makes me want to sit and enjoy the koi in the pond below.
When I showed my mom this picture, she told me it reminded her on an Ansel Adams which gave me the chills(in a good way). Hearing that kind of a compliment from someone who knows how much I love Adams' work, makes me feel all giddy inside! If you don't know his work, you should open another tab right now and google image his work. He is simply phenomenal!
This beautiful lady is Victoria. She was my model and photography/art appreciating buddy. We went to The Kimble after being outside for about 2 hours of heat and sun, and enjoyed the permanent collection with AC cooling us off.
I was excited when I saw names like Nicholas Poussian, Bellini, Fra Angelico, Van Gogh, and Gauguin to name a few. It's so awesome to see paintings up close from artists you've studied in class. To think that they stood in front of the canvas and painted what you're seeing. Mind boggling!
